The coronavirus pandemic has affected just about every area of our lives — large events especially, but this hasn’t stopped couples from wanting to get married. In light of the pandemic, some of our couples have chosen to creatively downscale their weddings and opt for a backyard wedding celebration; we’ve had the pleasure of photographing several backyard weddings this year and they have all truly been magical. We’ve been so blown away by how creative couples have been with decorating their backyard space with tons of rustic elements and it’s amazing how well it all comes together. There is also so much instant satisfaction and gratification when couples see how well the day came together and it is incredible to see. 

Although a change of plan for the wedding of your dream is never ideal, there is something to be said about having a smaller, intimate, laid-back wedding day. Instead of running around between locations and worrying about the annoying little things, you get to experience many more emotional outpours and joyous exchanges between you and the people you love and we are right there to document every laugh and happy tear. At the end of the day, you will receive a collection of wonderfully curated photos to help you remember your special day!

While 2020 has not gone according to any plans, love is certainly not canceled and we love seeing our couples press on to make the best of it all.
