Today, we want to share a story about a beautiful engagement session that I had the pleasure of photographing at the Good Life restaurant in Massapequa. This particular session was extra special because Brittany and Steven had their very first date at this restaurant, so it was the perfect location for their engagement shoot!

As a Long Island photographer, I’ve had the opportunity to photograph many engagement sessions, but this one was truly unique and fun. Brittany was a bridesmaid in two weddings we’ve had the pleasure to photograph so it was nice to see a familiar face!

When we arrived at Good Life, Britt and Steven were beaming with excitement. The restaurant was just opening for the day, so we nearly had the entire place to ourselves. We started the session by taking a few photos outside the restaurant with a fun phone booth and brick wall.

Once we made our way inside the restaurant, the real magic happened. It was clear that this restaurant held a special place in their hearts, and they were so excited to relive the memories of their first date. We captured some beautiful shots of them toasting to their future together.

As we moved around the restaurant, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia. It was almost as if I could feel the energy of their first date still lingering in the air. We captured some stunning shots of them by the bar, where they shared their first drink together. The lighting in the restaurant was perfect, and it really helped to create a romantic ambiance for the shoot.

Britt and Steven were an absolute pleasure to work with and we cannot wait to capture their special day later this year!
